how the arithmetic works

    concentration

    Labelled vial mass divided by the diluent volume added gives mg per mL; multiply by 1000 for mcg per mL.

  2. 02

    graduation value

    A U-100 graduated syringe marks 0.01 mL per graduation, so each graduation holds one hundredth of the mcg/mL figure.

  3. 03

    aliquot volume

    Target aliquot mass divided by concentration returns the volume of solution that contains that mass.
